¹⁹ From the forest to the sea.
I recently met grandma in my dreams. She was wearing a vast, hand-woven dress; it covered the forest. I cuddled up to her breast and she started to slowly, gently, rock me to sleep. As I was closing my eyes, she whispered to me: “My little one, don’t fall asleep yet. Ask me to bring back one thing from the past and I will do it.” I started to think, I thought harder and harder and there were so many, so many beautiful things that had gone and that I wanted back that my head got all confused and bloated like a cloud and I could not choose and I started to cry.
She caressed my hair, kissed my brow and I, little baby, reached for her milk.
